The Naylors in Germany & Beyond

At the beginning of September we took a quick weekend trip down to the Italian Dolomites region of Italy. The Dolomites are a beautiful mountain range in the northeastern part of Italy. I couldn't believe it was just a quick 3 hour drive from Munich. We did two hikes throughout the weekend and it was so much fun. The first hike we did was on Seceda mountain and this was definitely our favorite. We took a gondola to the top and then you could hike all around the mountain. They have a few different huts throughout the area where you can stop for a bite to eat or to take a break. We absolutely LOVE taking Tex on hikes so these two hikes were no exception. He is the best hiker and goes completely off leash for most of the hike. He has the best time! Check out our pictures from our hike at Seceda. (This post will be picture overload.   A few weekends ago Drew and I took a quick trip to Prague. We took the 5 hour train from Munich on Friday afternoon and came back on Sunday evening. We felt that Prague is a really great weekend trip since you can see and do pretty much everything there is to offer.  Here are the highlights of our trip: 1. Enjoying the traditional Prague dessert- the Trdelník. Although this dessert is actually said to have it's origins in Slovakia or Hungary, it has become a pretty big deal in Prague :) It is a chimney cake that is baked on a spit and then dusted in cinnamon sugar. Nowadays you can get them all different ways... with ice cream, chocolate, strawberries, nuts, etc. My favorite was the ice cream and chocolate. YUM!  2. Trying all the kolaches and pastries at a local farmer's market.
