Southern Germany Hiking Trip
Wow, it has been a whirlwind summer! Drew and I have been very busy traveling and exploring around Europe. At the beginning of summer, we did a road trip around southern Germany. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and it was really fun to be around the mountains and all the greenery. The best part was that we were able to bring along Tex. Tex has really become quite the expert swimmer and hiker since moving out to Germany :) Overlooking Konigsee Our first stop was to Berchtesgaden which is a small town in the Bavarian Alps that borders Austria. As soon as we arrived we took the Obersalzberg Cable Car to the top of one of the mountains so we could see a view of the town. After that we went to Wimbachklamm Gorge, which was probably my favorite thing of the trip. The water was crystal clear and walking through the gorge was so peaceful. There were several waterfalls that cascaded into the river, which made for a beautiful sound. We also practically had the place to ourselves....
