Paris for the Weekend!

At the beginning of August, we had the privilege of going to Paris for a super quick weekend trip. It was a total whirlwind but it was tons of fun. This was Drew's first time to visit Paris and my second time. It's been so fun going to back to places with Drew and having a totally different experience. We landed in Paris in the evening and decided to head straight to the Eiffel Tower to see it at night. As soon as we got through security, the lights on the tower started flashing. It was so beautiful! We then went to see the Louvre at night.

Our Saturday was jammed packed with things to do, sights to see, and pastries to eat! It was a great day. I think we ended up walking 30,000 steps that day and there was a heat wave in Paris that weekend. So, we definitely earned all those macaroons we ate :) Here is a look at our day in Paris:

We started our day off by going back to the Eiffel Tower!

Views from the top!

Baby Girl has officially been to the top of the Eiffel Tower- this means we don't have to take her back, right? LOL

Stopped for macaroons! YUM!

Luxembourg Gardens!

I love the small Parisian streets.

Stopped at this amazing bookstore. We bought 2 books for the baby and Drew picked out a book, too!

I could spend all day here :)

Notre Dame!

Went to the Louvre - goodness this place massive!

Saw the one and only, Mona Lisa!

Stopped for more macaroons- duh!

Ended our day with a fabulous French dinner! Drew had escargot and steak frites and I had french onion soup and pork confit. Seriously a delicious meal!

For dessert I had some amazing crème brûlée :)

On Sunday, we booked a bike tour of the city which was tons of fun and a great way to see a few more things we didn't see the day before. We were able to see Napoleon's tomb, Placa de la Concorde, the Louvre, and much more. Apparently we were too busy biking to take many photos but here are a few photos from the tour:

Arc de Triomphe

We headed back to Munich on Sunday night and picked up Tex on Monday morning. We had a blast in Paris and we feel so lucky that we can take these type of quick weekend trips!
